Healthy Eating (Carbs, Fats, and Protein)

Let's talk about the three sources of energy for our body Carbs, Fats, and Protein. Each energy source performs a different function in our body if taken in the right amount. Too much of any energy source is turned into fat. Carbs are used to provide immediate energy and is what fat is broken down too provide the necessary energy for our muscles and organs to function. Fat is either converted to energy that can be burned or stored to protect vital organs and protect us from starvation. Protein is the building blocks of all cell function, muscle development, and pretty much everything else.

Calories Each Produces
Fat 9
Carbs 4
Protein 4

Fat is the easiest to store and contains the most calories per gram. The goal when we are trying to lose weight is to keep our caloric intake less than our caloric expenditure.
